Something happened in Spain

Gabriella Daly accepts Nick’s proposal but he discloses that he’s an undercover Detective and leaves for Spain on assignment. She’s shocked and devastated andin retaliation takes on a lover, but deep down knows where her heart lays.

Not deterred, she enrols on a TEFL Teaching programme and makes her way to Marbella to find Nick and live happily ever after.

She moves from one situation to another and finds herself amongst female friends who show her “a good time”. She discovers the local Policia “Live up” to their local “reputation” as she questions her own sexuality.

She encounters a cockroach infested apartment and her language school mysteriously closes. Gaby’s continued hope to meet Nick becomes futile, however her ex-lover locates her easily. A kidnapping affects her personally which results in rash decisions on her part.

Marbella’s orange crusted sun beats down on drugs and sexual encounters along with fraud and corruption. Her bank manager is found in the campo, two weeks before his wedding, something has happened and it’s out of her control.

With the arrest of her ex-lover and her friends, she becomes a victim. She calls for help and her new love appears as someone else; creating a bigger act of betrayal than even Gaby could envisage.
