They struggle and grow together, eventually having a daughter, whom they affectionately call Molochai. The story takes twist as Dane finds that his wife Dee had been given a mission of her own. He is surprised to find that she is an alien from another part of the universe, and that he is destined to provide her with a way home. When they return to Earth, his future takes an unexpected turn as he comes into contact with the Sound of Truth and he finds himself Going Home.
