Being a genetically modified human being has its benefits and Mike Hurst was just beginning to appreciate all that it entailed. His mind worked with amazing speed and he could handle dozens of mental tasks simultaneously. Then there was his newly enhanced strength; three times that of a normal human. But best of all was the youthful body that had been regenerated for him. He was a seventy one year old disabled amputee veteran, when he had been kidnapped and upgraded to his current twenty five year old body.

Yet, having all of this incredible ability didn’t make him smarter, or wiser. Many of the people he needed to convince to help him save the human race were more interested in how they could use this new technology for their own selfish goals. Fortunately not everyone was in this category. Also, he wasn’t the sort of man to surfer fools lightly. He knew he would have to wield a heavy hand, in order to make them see the error of their ways and to work with him for the good of the planet.

He would prepare to do battle with the alien ship headed his way and wage a battle to help build the resources of the Earth, without the hindrance of bureaucratic interference.
