Understanding Refraction:
Refraction is a natural phenomenon that occurs in nature when Light rays travel from one medium to another. Light rays bend (deviate away from the straight path) when the medium through which they are passing is changed! Yes! The same concept that’s generally taught in Indian middle and high schools. Normal: A line perpendicular to the surface of the liquid is known as the Normal. When light rays move from a DENSER to a RARER medium: Light rays move away from the Normal. When light rays move away from a RARER to a DENSER medium: Light rays move towards the Normal.
