                  Still the One

When a mining company with a licence to drill CSG wells moves next door to Steph’s small rural property, she is driven from her home. She accepts a position as a tutor on an isolated Queensland property. Nick, the brother of her employer and co –owner of the station, arrives for a visit. His dislike of Steph is irrational but instant. The situation becomes so awkward that she is forced to take a holiday.

After Nick leaves the property the son of the owners has an accident and the family moves to Brisbane to await his treatment. Much to Steph’s dismay Nick returns to manage the property while the family are away. Steph and Nick call a truce to work together on the property. Although not trusting the change of heart entirely, Steph falls under the spell of the newly reformed Nick.

Steph’s happiness is shattered when she learns that her brother has been severely injured. While staying in Brisbane Steph is devastated by the news that Nick has become engaged to his former girlfriend.

Nick returns from a business trip to find that his relationship with Steph has taken a lethal blow.  A reconciliation with Steph leaves Nick confident that the damage to the relationship has been repaired.

When he returns to Thornton Downs Nick receives a letter that throws his relationship and belief in Steph into doubt. While attempting to protect his property from the imminent danger, Nick pushes Steph away.

With assistance from the daughter of her employers Steph unearths the secret that Nick would not share. Angry at his lack of faith Steph accepts a job on another property.

When it is evident that Steph’s intervention has helped to resolve the problem, Nick realises that he has made a huge mistake. Nick is filled with remorse and sets about trying to locate Steph. Once he finds her will he be able to convince her that his regret is genuine? Will it be possible to repair their damaged relationship?
