We have all been taught in our schooldays that after hundreds of millennia of living in caves man suddenly came out and saw the light… from that moment on he built monuments that long outlived them and resisted earthquake as well as the erosion of time passing and the elements… and all that without any tools or knowledge… or so little… under the supervision of beings who materialised out of the blue… and in a relatively short time… managing to locate them in the exact position of the stars and constellations of their time…

We are taught and told over and over that the Egyptians excelled at science and architecture… they built all those monuments thanks to their clever use of crafts and slaves and horses… and so forth… but the Egyptians had no slaves, no horses –they had bulls- until very late… in fact as their civilisation was already on the decline and only a few stone and wooden tools have ever been found in Egypt… and they Egyptians who extensively documented their life… never left anything showing how they built all those… it is nevertheless possible they may have found those monuments on the premises upon their arrival… as did the Maya…

Along that theory line the best example is certainly that of Nan Madol in Micronesia...

Architecture, construction, history, alien, building, story, stone…
