Her toughest assignment could be her last.

Television journalist Maureen Yates is trying to rebuild her life. A year after surviving a horrific car accident which took the lives of those closest to her, she is back at work, masking her searing emotional pain by taking on the toughest assignments she can find.

While shooting a story about street kids in Toronto, she meets Casey, an 11 year-old boy wise beyond his years. They develop an unlikely friendship, and Casey tells the journalist of a rape he witnessed weeks earlier. Maureen begins to investigate, and the more she digs, the more she realizes she may be on the trail of a serial rapist hiding in plain sight.

Back on the street, an unwitting Casey is steered toward a life of prostitution while Maureen frantically searches for him- and tracks a rapist at the same time.

The hunter becomes the hunted when the reporter is attacked and left for dead. The only thing that can save her is the determination of a troubled young street kid. Maureen and Casey have to overcome the elements- and their own fears- to save themselves and warn others of a predator in their midst.
