***ALL BOOK PROCEEDS ARE DONATED IN SUPPORT OF TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY SURVIVORS AND/OR CANCER RESEARCH*** This is the personal story of a middle-aged man named Jeff Smith, reflecting back on what his life has been like since suffering a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a car accident at the age of 20. The book is a result of “narrative therapy” work begun with Jeff by then licensed social worker Dr. Barbara Hogan 15 years post-injury and continued by neuropsychologist Dr. David Lamb 15 years later. It describes Jeff’s childhood leading up to the accident, the circumstances of the accident, the arduous physical and mental road back to a “new normal,” and the life lessons that Jeff would like others to gain from his experiences.
