Summary of ‘Everything We Keep: A Novel’ by Kerry Lonsdale
On their would-be wedding day, Aimee Tierney has to attend her fiancé’s funeral since he had an accident and died recently. The funeral is too much for her since in the church where she was supposed to have her wedding with James Charles Donato, she is part of her fiancé’s funeral. James’ brother Thomas gives her a big amount of money that was supposed to be included in James' will when they got married. Thomas suggests that she either realize her dream of opening her restaurant with it or travel the world. When Aimee is about to run away from the site since it is too much, a woman named Lacy meets and tells her that James is alive. She does not believe Lacy initially but the intensity in Lacy’s eyes makes her believe that the woman knows something. Lacy asks her to visit her as soon as possible and leaves her card with her. Nadia and Kristen, Aimee’s friends who were supposed to be her bridesmaids, find her.
