With her relationship with Cole on the downward spiral, Cassie throws herself into finishing the project. Cole's dark moods and Mark's constant picking make everyone miserable and the deadline is fast approaching.
Cassie tries dating to take her minds off things, but like everything else in her life right now, it just doesn't feel right. The attraction between her and Cole is so strong but would taking him back mean throwing away everything that she has worked so hard for professionally?
SNEAK PEEK!
"That isn’t fair, Cassie. No one can predict the future of a relationship. It will always be a risk, but it’s one I’m willing to take."
"But it’s not a risk I want to take."
"Cassie!" Cole leapt to his feet, running his hands through his hair in frustration. "You are throwing us away on a fucking ‘what if!’"
"I should leave," she said, rising to her feet.
"Like hell!" He groaned, pulling her into his arms, crushing his lips over hers.
"Cole please?" She gasped, her eyes filling with tears.
"I am taking you to bed. Do not push me Cassie. I have half a mind to tie you to my bedpost and never let you go!" He gathered her in his arms and marched down the hall, stifling her protests with his kisses.
"Cole, no we shouldn’t," Cassie tried to come to her senses.
"I will have you tonight." His eyes blazed with his primal need to devour her and it left her breathless. She knew he wouldn’t force her, he’d just make her so dizzy with desire she would succumb.
Hell, he’s already done that. She had known this would happen—had anticipated it all day, but she knew it was a very bad idea to give into her desperate need to have him one last time...
