Q&A with author Pamela Kenney

Q: Please tell the reader what your books are all about.

A: The Buttercup series is all about the charming people in the small town of Buttercup who have lots of fun getting into and out of trouble…well not trouble exactly…they are just going about their daily lives but somehow things always seem to happen.

Q: Where did the idea for Buttercup come from?

A: Well I was living in a big city and was very stressed out by the noise and pollution so I created a wonderful, peaceful, quiet, charming small town where I would love to live and filled it full of funny, quirky, wholesome people that I would really like to know.

Q: Is there romance in your stories?

A: A lot of my stories are romantic in nature: imagine a sweet, wholesome romantic comedy with lots of lighthearted humour thrown in for good measure.

Q: Why will readers like your books?

A: I firmly believe that laughter is the best medicine and nothing is better after a stressful day than a good belly laugh. It was the main reason I wrote these stories so that I could laugh out loud and I hope the readers will too.

Q: Which writers or comedians have inspired your work?

A: Stuart McLean, Red Green, Seinfeld, Garrison Keillor, SCTV, Wayne and Shuster (remember them?)
