He's tall, dark and handsome; an English gentleman with enough money and confidence to steal Sarah’s heart instantly. But where does her best friend Courtney fit into this new romance? (Adults Only; 6000+ words, MFF threesome)
-
“So, what do you think?”
I had been watching him from the corner of my eye―but pretended to look up from my drink.
“About what?”
“The man before you. Surely you had some expectations. Do I meet them?”
I wasn't sure how foolish I wanted to look just yet, so I only bobbed my head a little, weighing Jasper's qualities. “You're taller than I thought you'd be. And... more reserved. But I like that.”
“Reserved,” he scoffed, smiling. “'Restrained', maybe. I'm not used to being in the presence of such an interesting woman. I'm doing all I can to keep my hands off of you.”
I laughed. Was he kidding? Me? “So you're saying I met your expectations?”
Jasper's eyes settled on mine. The singer had finished her song, and the applause drowned out the chatter around them. He waited until they faded away to answer. “You exceeded them with the first email you sent me, denouncing the disparity in prices between my Bronte and Austen novels. When we spoke for the first time, I hadn't expected to be on the phone for two hours; I had to cancel my plans for the evening. I was glad to. I like that it has taken us this long to meet in-person. It almost makes our relationship more pure.”
“And it doesn't hurt that you're terribly pretty.”
