Ted Michael, PI, working in Houston Texas is awakened by a call from a Mexican gang member who tells him they have his dad and are demanding a large sum of money by midnight that night, or his dad dies!. Horrified,Ted notifies the San Antonio Police and offers his help to find his dad and mom also missing. Later a Jane Doe, critical, is found in the local hospital. While undercover the two fall in love while causing chaos and trouble for the gang and freeing prisoners. They also come upon an arsenal of ammunition. Later while trying to escape, Ted is injured in the leg which jeopardizes their love and his ability to help get the best of the gang.. Ted becomes depressed about his situation, causing him to fear his ability to love and take care of Karlene and help his family who are in constant danger from the gang.
