Accused of horse stealing, sentenced to hang, and now here he stood in the back of a wagon, a rope around his neck, and rain soaking him to the bone, as he watches the pitiful performance being played out before him. After two years of working for her father and uncles, she was ready to retire from the life of shadowing and tracking lawbreakers.
