When the affluent South East England, Kent, where everything is usually "hush hush" is suddenly over-populated only by (funny) old people, (serious) problems with a brainwashing cult run by a leader from up North and an inordinate love of money/corruption are taken onto a whole new plane. Lots of head hopping.

As the cult's background of lies begin to unravel with the scytale helping prove that the fake religion's Almanack is a fraud for the last time, and Rudy the leader, too rich for his own good, then Bertram and Claiborne, the most demure young girl who attracts compliments wherever she may go, must make amends for the utter hypocrisy / corruption at the core of the evil, whacky world they are the only remaining forces for good within.

With Bertram, still harping on about old school friends, nigh on bankrupt, divorced from Lauren and worried about both his ex-wife's quality of life and his daughter Claiborne's spiralling drug usage a saviour arrives in the form of the Raffle,  unfortunately both Pirsig the atheist asset manager (who commands that the scrolls be stolen) and Grover the billionairess are powerless to resist the urge to destroy any decent opportunity which comes Bertram's way. Denny who wants the obvious is Bertram's very stupid uncle, and he believes in the cult but is a victim of it also and very gullible.
