I have heard of you ghost hunters before; lots of your snooping kind have visited this house on numerous occasions over the many years. No doubt all of the stories of an evil ghost that haunts this place have attracted you. And of course the stories of the tenants over the past years, the ones who have died within these walls in various ways (be it from a simple heart attack to an unexpected suicide) and all apparently caused by a malevolent and hideous ghostly figure are what brings the hunters here on the off chance that for once contact with the unknown can be achieved! And now you new lot come along! With cameras and video machines hoping to catch a glimpse of such a being. However you claim to be different from the rest don’t you (PAH). You claim to have devised a machine using a new undiscovered technology that can hear into the dimension of the dead. In fact it is this very machine that I speak into, though I suspect it will not work like the rest who have claimed that they have ways of reaching into and contacting the afterlife. However on the slim chance it does, I will tell you my story and plead with you to pull this wretched house down so I may rest in peace and be rid of the madman for once and for all. I will start at the beginning, and although I am very old, I still believe that I remember this quite well, though some things now are a little hazy and the names of the people involved have long since been forgotten.

First let me introduce myself. My name is Eric Von Francis, and I am dead!

....................

So begins “The Battle For The Flesh”, a ghost story, but unlike other ghost stories that you may have read, this one is told by the ghost himself. While alive, he was a vile and horrid man. While dead he is even worse.

This story is his own personal account of him haunting his old house before he gets he’s just deserts.
