The book is a collection of poems dealing with various themes, emotions and mental states, the overarching, unifying idea being latency. It addresses the question as to what constitutes the real or higher Self as opposed to what might be called the false or the ego self. There is a latent Self within us all that attempts at positivity, enlightenment and bliss rather than darkness, fear and doubt.
