Catherine's Diary, Tuesday July 5, 2011
You know what? I hate the word OVERTIME. It’s not that I don’t like working a few extra hours, but it’s because of Carl. He always uses OVERTIME as his excuse not to come home for dinner. It makes me think that having dinner with me is such a nightmare for him. Why can’t he appreciate my invitations a little? I’ve asked him three times already, and each time he’s agreed, but then he’ll call me and cancel it with the same reason: OVERTIME. Do you think I’ll invite you again, Carl? Dream it. Cause it won’t happen. - Love, Catherine

Carl's Diary, Tuesday July 5, 2011
Cath texted, asking me if I could come to have dinner at her place. This is not the first time. It’s officially the third. Sometimes I do wonder why she keeps on asking me to have dinner at her place when she knows I will not go. Well, at least, I’ve given her signs. I turned her down the first two times, so why did she invite me again? I just told her I couldn’t come due to work. I told her I have to meet some deadlines. But the truth is, I’m lying. I’m now in front of my computer, enjoying my coffee and telling you this story.
- Sincerely, Carl
