Don’t make the mistake of thinking that this is a story based in Shakespeare’s time, it isn’t.; there have been enough of those to render the subject borinnng.
This ‘fiasco’ is a modern day literary caricature spoof, written as a fun, 'cheeky' way to help a community of real people. It's about some trouble caused by Shakespeare (well, he gets a ton of the blame). Think of it metaphorically, as someone’s hair, in a sitting for a portrait painter. The hair is ok, which will be the bulk of the story, but that mop only stands out because of the painted in highlights. There again, the highlights aren’t even Shakey, they’re provided by his 'muse', a living breathing one at the time.
Enjoy.
