A sequel to Frederich, the story continues to weave a tale of love and loss, struggle and success as it takes you on a journey of faith. Fred matures and marries his love, Betty, and they start a family while struggling against the expectations of keeping up with society.
I quite enjoyed this novel. The story of a family’s journey from humble beginnings to success (and ultimately tragedy) rings true with many readers. The style is gently simplistic and easy to follow—much like Hemingway’s THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA. The plot is interesting, even though it involves the simple evolution of a plastics company for the most part.
