The Gift is a children’s book that tells the story of a child asking his or her parents the question that many parents get from their children: “Mom, dad, how did I come to be?” As readers turn the pages of the book, families from different ethnicities explain to their little one the story of how the child came to be part of their family. In other parts of the book, there are no people in the illustrations, but the beautiful colors and details of the scenery makes it easy for parents and children to identify that part of the world.
