In letters to a fellow devil, Glumlot writes about his attempts in tempting a human away from A.A., sobriety and recovery. He discusses the risks of attending meetings, following directions of sponsorship and working the Twelve Steps as outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, all in great detail, and warns that these can lead a human to "...an intractable infection of serenity by the Enemy [God]."

About the Author

Stan M. attended his first AA meeting in 1983. A sponsor - “Patch Alex” - told him of the ‘Charlie and Joe’ tapes, which set in motion a deeper study of the Twelve Steps. A dozen years later, after reading C.S. Lewis’s ‘The Screwtape Letters,’ Stan wondered about the narrative the devil sitting on his own shoulder was conjuring up. Thus began the discovery of the “The Glumlot Letters.” Stan is a businessman, husband and father residing and still attending meetings in the Los Angeles area.
