Told almost entirely in one-sided conversation, THE GRAVEYARD chronicles the drinking and working lives of the doomed. Our silent narrator hears-tell of Wimpy (the hero we never meet) from a regular who is getting pickled before a long night's driving)--and just how tough all the the poor bastards have it in this inventive and unconventional blue-collar narrative.

About the Author:
Alan Catlin has retired from his unchosen profession of tending bar, where he worked for thirty four years--be it managing a rathskeller college bar, working at a national hotel chain, managing a top ten rated supper club, or as a mercenary in the Washington Tavern (Albany, New York) for the last quarter century. He has published over sixty chapbooks and full length collections of prose and poetry, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize twenty times but never won--which must be some kind of record.
