Captain Greyylene found herself in the custody of Horatio Washburn, on her own flamboyant terms. She pays her “debt to society” in the hole of a dungeon surrounded by other pirates, some of whom were infected with the Cradle Rock Illness. It was a good thing she turned herself in or the empire would have suffered horrible gruesome losses to the Illness.
Sir Gilead offers his sage advice to the Military Council and brokers an unlikely alliance between the Navy and those Pirates who are left. Sir Gil also happens to mention that Captain Greyy is quite savvy in diplomacy, contrary to popular opinion. More to the point, she is the only one who was trusted enough to assist in bringing a peace to enemies.
Distractions run wildly out of control when veiled threats from the Kingdom of Wormwood encroach on the Imperial family. Offering a false alliance by the marriage of their children King Sullvani Wormwood tries to have his son killed and blame the Empire with the murder.
Battles, intrigue, romance and a slew of new faces fill the pages of “The Greyy Area”. The bigger question remains, will Greyylene ever learn to be a noble lady? Let’s hope not!
