Comments for The Horseless Horsemen, Book 1: Jude
Stacy Shofner Williams (Of Shadows & Ash) - 5 Stars "Both this book and the hero of this story are unlike any I've ever encountered. This dark tale is refreshingly different and masterfully woven by the author."
Alan Riehl (A Riehl Way to Write) - 5 Stars “[Jude] succeeds on so many levels. Moving and electric. A must read!
ReadersFavorite.com - 5 Stars “Do not pick up this book thinking you will take your time reading it!”
The Horseless Horsemen: Rita
“I KILLED YOU!” he shouted, after he had hit the ground and caught his breath. …after he had gotten a small amount of his wits back about him and stared at her wide eyed, his voice full of the unbelieving panic that the killers always had when they finally realized the mistake they had made. “YOU’RE DEAD!!”
“I’m Rita,” she said without emotion, and not at all directly addressing his accusation the way he would have expected if his shattered mind hadn’t already been well along in the process of falling over the edge and into the pit of his panic. “And you’ve been served,” she informed him. Then she added softly as his eyes cleared with comprehension for just a moment, “Don’t worry. I’m not the last thing you will see. Oh, no,” her eyes widened and her stare grew very intense as she moved closer to his face, driving the point home more thoroughly than a stake through his heart, “…that will be far worse than me.” She nodded slowly. “…far worse.”
