A compilation of poems written when I was a young woman in my 20's. The poems surely helped me cross the bridge into womanhood and allowed me to express my grief creatively so I could leave it behind. Each day became a new day and the trail continued before me....I knew not what to expect from Life. The Trail takes one thru conception and birth. Simple dances. Bright sounds. Then childhood and puberty become more complex. One lingers in anger and regret and then wonder. There is a chance to rest now. The salty air hangs in droplets above the wave and the is sun beating down...all very playfully. Now we must go because Life is not over, it's just begining and the Trail leads the way to personal enlightenment. Ahead initations that challenge womanhood and the soul. One must leave the rotten nest. The tide was too great for it. One must take a chance to remain sane. After escaping there are roads that fork before us and more big waters wash away our new foundations. Adrift we fall in the sand to dry out. The Trail leads to Makena Beach. The seagulls are calling, the sky is squalling....Life is still forming and the Trail continues......
