The Lamb of God is a book about claiming your own destiny. It is about pleasure and peace. It is about the ancient prophets including Confucius, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jesus and Mohammad. Most of all, it is about you. The author stresses the words of Jesus from the canonical gospels and also from the gospel of Thomas that indicates that we are all God incarnate. This is not how we see ourselves and it is not what we are taught in churches, synagogues and mosques. However, this concept is inadequate unless we reach a mystical state of awareness and teach it to our young. This state is achieved by consideration of who we really are and by giving everything to God through prayer and awareness of and obedience to his rules. The argument is made that the quest for mystical awareness is a biological drive in every man and woman regardless of their age, station in life, or religion. Jesus is emphasized because of the author’s perception of him as the most perfect human being and because he absorbed all of God into his persona. No one else can do this but you can try. We humans are a reflection of each other and Jesus as well as all the prophets. Let us investigate God.
