Endrick chooses to save his wife Erin from the evil clutch of his own gypsy clan by plotting to help them and the deposed Viking Lord Brodir capture the High Celtic king Brian Boru and thus hold him ransom in exchange for the treasure horde obtained after the Battle of Clontarf. Time travels to modern day where a wily gypsy named Jones discovers the only missing piece of the legendary treasure, High King Boru's gold sword, at a rummage sale. The treasure piece is disguised in a wooden scabbard. Etched on the gold sword's blade is verse describing the fate of the legendary treasure (the largest ever accrued on Irish soil) and its guard of Leperchauns. Gypsy Jones sets out on a mission to capture a leprechaun with help hired from a witch named Broom Guilda.
