Young Myra Mercury is frustrated. The daughter of the mayor of Skullcrowth, a dark and scary town that no one seeks to visit, she yearns for a more interesting place to call home. She decides its time for a quest to find the last wizard of the modern world and recruit him in the effort to make her home the colorful and happy place it once was. Can she and the other would-be heroes of the ProDyno team actually hope to change the city forever? Shes not sure, but shes not going to let her own doubts stop her dreams. Her father has a different idea of what is appropriate behavior for a young lady. He forbids her from the adventure. Undeterred, Myra slips into the night, steals her fathers sports car and the guards gun, and heads out on her own at last. The wizard is said to live on Mount Upaithric, and its not going to be easy to find him, let alone recruit him. For some of the people in Skullcrowth, forever doesnt existbut it does for the beyond mortalsa mysterious group of beings who may or may not hold the answers she seeks. Caught between expectations and ambition, magic and technology, not to mention the complete hassle of being a teenage girl with a controlling father, Myra absolutely has her work cut out for her.
