Lily Vincent has just turned 18 and it's time for her to be a grown up...but she doesn't want to be. She wants to stay at home with her blankies and color. Problem is, her parents won't hear of it. They want her to get a job, to leave the nest, to start a life of her own.
Lily hates it.
And then she meets Victor Black, an associate of her father's, and she is instantly floored and enamored. After a whirlwind courtship, the two of them are safely ensconced in Victor's house, where Lily, a "little", is allowed all the room she needs to cuddle her blankies and play with her stuffies and color all day long.
Of course, nobody's perfect, not even Victor Black, and when Lily overhears a private conversation between Victor and her father, she discovers that a recent trauma she has suffered was orchestrated by none other than the man she loves. Furious, Lily lashes out in the only way she knows how: by acting like a brat.
Victor Black, however, doesn't tolerate brats. After Lily runs off in the middle of a business dinner and gives them both a scare, Victor decides what little Lily really needs is to be punished.
Lily has other ideas. If it wasn't for Victor, she wouldn't have misbehaved in the first place. If it wasn't for Victor, she could have avoided all of the stress and trauma of the recent past -- and her punishment. Pushed beyond her endurance, Lily lashes out, only to find that the man she loves needs her more than ever...
