This year's BYU Women's Conference theme comes from the Psalmist: "For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly" (Psalm 84:11). This comprehensive promise gives us great hope; hope that the Lord will not just light out path, but defend us against any difficulties we might encounter; hope that we will not just receive grace—forgiveness for our sins as a free gift from our Savior—but glory as well: "no good thing" withheld from "them that walk uprightly." In The Lord Will Give Grace and Glory: Talk from the 2014 BYU Women's Conference, you will find eighteen addresses that will also give you that hope of the Lord's help, His grace and glory, in your life.

"The Savior's divine empathy is perfect, so He knows how to help us. He rarely moves the mountains in front of us, but He always helps us climb them." —Sheri Dew

"Grace is basically every contact we have with the Lord in which He enables us to change. This is what King Benjamin's people experienced when they cried, 'The Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent ... has wrought a mighty change in us' (Mosiah 5:2). This is what Alma experience....This is what King Lamoni's father experienced...These are all manifestations of how grace changed people."—Amy H. White and Brad Wilcox

"There is a Celtic expression, 'thin places.' A thin place is where the veil that separates heaven and earth is nearly transparent. It is a place where we experience a deep sense of God's presence in our everyday world. A thin place is where, for a moment, the spiritual world and the natural world intersect."&Virginia H. Pearce

"Think of this! The only perfect man who has ever lived on the earth, the Creator of the universe, the literal Son of God, a member of the Godhead, was willing to do all of this for us—we who are imperfect, weak, and unworthy. He loved us enough to suffer all of that—for you and for me. To me it is beyond comprehension."—Bonnie L. Oscarson

"It seems to be part of your special nature to feel that, no matter how hard you work and what you do, it is never enough. Sometimes, despite the fact that everyone else feels you have been spectacular, you may feel inadequate and ineffective. Yet the excellent work you do, the kindness you show, and the love you exhibit are blessings beyond measure to those who have the privilege of associating with you. And it is enough!—Elder Quentin L. Cook

The power and blessing of divine grace is discussed in chapters from presenters such as Elder Quentin L. Cook and wife Mary G. Cook, Elder Bruce C. Hafen and wife Marie Hafen, Relief Society general president Linda K. Burton, Young Women general president Bonnie L. Oscarson, Primary general president Rosemary M. Wixom, Virginia H. Pearce, and Mary Ellen Edmunds.
