When he moved to Oklahoma, he found a job as an armed security patrol officer. He responded to burglar alarms and photographed burglary scenes.
After all the years of being a police photographer and security patrol officer, he became sort of an expert on burglaries. Many neighborhood associations invited him to their meetings to speak on burglaries. He received many letters from neighborhood residents thanking him for some of his ideas on protecting their home.
