With an old ally, he devises a plan that requires him to reject the values that have guided his life and ignore the rules of diplomacy and covenants that constrain nations.
He deceives a U.S. President, the Israeli government, and ultimately, the world in his quest for peace. Opposition forces conspire to kill the plan, causing countless casualties, treachery, treason, failed governments and personal tragedies, but Jake continues seeking a final solution.
