At one time he was simply known as 'the monster'. Concieved from the mind of a brilliant madman this tortured creature had run amok, rampaging across the land and murdering at will.
But no more. His terrible past long excised - with the help of a mysterious benefactor - the 'monster' took on a new name: Von Trapp. And in paying penance for the sins from that woebegone era he began to search out others like his former self to rescue from persecution.
Using his mind as much as his massive brawn Von Trapp redeems himself one day at a time, one poor soul at a time, along the Meandering line.
Persuaded to travel to an eastern Europe nearly in thrall to the power of the vampires, Von Trapp is determined to save a wolfen enslaved for almost three decades to his evil master Blago.
But liberating the wolfen is simple when compared with the escalating setbacks the pair encounter.
Infected by the vampire Von Trapp must strive to save himself before he becomes a monster beyond anyone's imagination.
Beset by threats from all sides the pair find aid from unlikely allies as sinister plots by unseen adversaries slowly draw the noose ever tighter.
Can Von Trapp save his own weary soul before the worst happens?
And what of the broken spirit of the aged werewolf Dmitri? Will he be strong enough to face a life without a master? Will he even have time to decide before fate steals this new freedom from him?
With time running out on him, and on Dmitri, Von Trapp must triumph over evils such as he has never encountered. All while battling his own darkness, a calling that seeks to lure him ever deeper into the depths of violence and wickedness.
