Hector Pagan, Jr grew up as a street thug in the streets of Brooklyn, New York. Hector had fallen in love with boxing when he was a teenager. He spent most of his time training, and never cared to finish the last five years of school. His promising boxing career came to an abrupt end when he was in a nightclub one evening, celebrating a recent victory and bragging about his knockout. Suddenly, he was approached by a gang of men. He took them all down with his adrenaline running high.

Hector has been in the media and on television quite a bit lately. He is the ex-husband of Renee Graziano, one of the stars of the hit reality TV show  VH1 Mob Wives, where he is simply known as Junior. Hector appeared on a few episodes of the show after being released from prison. Viewers saw the on-again off-again relationship of Renee and the man she calls Junior finally fizzle out recently. This is due to the fact that Renee's father, Anthony “TG” Graziano, was recently arrested due to tapes made from a wire worn by the new mob rat, Hector Pagan.
