A young woman parts company with friends, continuing down a park path alone, not a care in the world. From a lofty vantage point, a man with malevolent motives watches her progress. No harm will befall her until the contract is confirmed. This was simply a dry run. To commit an unsolvable crime requires careful preparation and planning before execution.

Within twenty-four hours, a meeting occurs on a secluded park bench in a common area of an ordinary neighborhood, just two men having a friendly conversation, yet acutely aware of their surroundings to make sure no one is within earshot. Theoretically, no one is.

On the second floor of the house directly behind them, a bedroom window has been opened, allowing a spring breeze to flow in. It’s a nursery and Sara has recently placed her daughter down for a nap. An ordinary baby monitor has been placed on the chest of drawers near the crib next to the window, enabling her to hear every sigh, sound or spoken word within a substantial range. As the only accidental witness, Sara must sift through a handful of clues in a valiant effort to prevent the crime. The clock is ticking...
