Ellie Veritys husband dies suddenly, leaving her bereaved and lonely. Her younger son, Brad, gives her a computer and tries to teach her how to use it, as he is sure this will alleviate her loneliness. He tries to teach her how to register an e-mail address, but they argue. He tells his mother that unless she learns to e-mail, he doesnt want to hear from her.
