Tony's debut collection bristles with thought provoking honesty, dry humour and eloquent charm. Including his anthemic, lyrical classics 'The Signed', 'The Gorilla Was On Ecstasy' and 'Brighton Days'.
Tony Curry is the host of Word Jam, Manchester's monthly spoken word and music night. A performance poet, musician, composer and playwright for stage and radio, his solo multi-media shows include 'Brit Boy' (1999), 'Complicit Relations' (2000), 'Moving' (2004) and 'The Odyssey' (2008). In 2012 he launched Manchester Men's Health, an organisation that seeks to improve the health and wellbeing of men through creative interventions with an emphasis on poetry and the spoken word.
"Tony Curry's poetry is a window into yesterday. A rhythmic world of skunk, Es and 501s, gorillas, queens and signing on. Historical and poetic. I love it." - Mike Garry, poet & author of Mancunian Meander
Adult poetry.
