The horny goat weed series of cookery books have been written to incorporate the herb, horny goat weed, into enjoyable food recipes. Horny goat weed is a Chinese traditional herbal remedy which is prescribed to boost sexual desire, to treat erectile dysfunction, to alleviate menopausal symptoms and to treat fatigue and it also can be taken to encourage health and well-being.
I wrote the horny goat weed international recipe book because when I was experimenting for the main course recipe book, I realised that I know an awful lot of recipes from my travels over the years and from international students who have resided with me over the years and so my cooking experiences have been diverse. When I decided to embark on this book, I contacted some of my international friends for advice and they kindly sent me some of their favourite recipes, from bluff bay oysters to lamb kofta and to South African bobotie and I'm grateful to them as I've managed to include recipes from all continentsin this book.
All of the recipes contain horny goat weed but you can omit this ingredient and still cook tasty foods.
The recipes have been developed to serve healthy portions to 2 people.
Warning! Horny goat weed is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18, lactating or pregnant women. Anyone with heart problems or any medical problem should consult with a doctor before trying any of the recipes in this book. Anyone who is taking aspirin is advised not to mix this medicine with horny goat weed.
Further warning! The author has been known to develop frisky behaviour, lustfulness and sexual urges arising from the consumption of horny goat weed and I make no apologies for that!!
