Michael Martin isn't really an agent. His responsibilities certainly include intelligence gathering, infiltration, and target elimination, but he is not an agent. Under the Program, an internationally sponsored security organization dedicated to the national safety of all member nations, Michael Martin is known as the top assassin. One day he is approached with a new target, a man by the name of Gabriel De Luc, a fellow hit man who has been interfering with one too many of the Program's enterprises. It starts out as a very violent goose chase with a more than permanent end, which then turns into a plot thick with back stabbing, secondary motives, and a questionable tension between the two. It's a question of duty, honour, and heart. But for Michael time is quickly running out, just like his ammunition stock.
