Lady Margery Branwood has been neglected for too long, and when her lord husband abandons her at sea, leaving her entirely at a wicked pirate captain's mercy, it's the final straw. Faced with the devilishly charming James Turner, she soon learns that even a scoundrel such as he can teach her a thing or two. The man has already stolen her jewels, but she's more than willing to let him take a good deal more! A companion piece to Surrender At Sea, also by Deanna Cox. Adults only!

Excerpt:

The pirate captain gave a low grunt, the sound reverberating through her skin. “Then he truly is a fool – a deaf and blind one, not to have you as you are now.” He raised his eyes to hers. “Such wonderful sounds, your cheeks such a lovely shade of red. As fair and receptive in the face of a little pleasure as any woman should be. I find myself wondering if he tells you how alluring you are – how welcome that look of pleasure truly is.”

Her tongue felt all in knots, and she was warm, so very warm all over. “I … I don't … he does not.”

“I thought as much. He proves himself selfish in all ways, then, as I've long come to expect from noble men like him.” He raised his head to consider her for a moment, denying her the delicious heat of his mouth. “But not you, Margery. You don't seem the type to be selfish – rather, I think you to be a most giving woman, in all ways. A generous woman indeed. I wonder, my dear, just how generous you might be with me.”

She breathed in deep, conscious of the way the cool air caressed the moist inside of her lips, as sensitive as they were. “I'm sure I don't know what you mean, sir.”

How his eyes twinkled. “I believe you might, with all your delightful talk of ravishment. You are, after all, a married woman, pet. You must have some inkling by now as to what generosities a woman might bestow a man with in the privacy of her cabin.” He cocked his head and grinned as he looked upon her, insolent and absolutely incorrigible. “From the way you look at me, Margery, I'd say you could be willing to be quite generous indeed.”

Generous. Her own mother's softly-spoken words from years ago came to her then. A true lady must always be a gracious and generous host. After all, to please a guest in one's own household – or, indeed, one's own ship – was perhaps even more important than pleasing one's husband. Yes, she knew she would be generous towards the man, unable to ignore the frisson of pleasure that tickled at her belly once she had made her choice. She told herself that her own pleasure – her own curiosity at how his kisses might feel upon her mouth, instead of her wrist – played no part in her decision. “I will do my best to … to accommodate you while you remain a guest on my husband's ship.”

The pirate captain smiled. “A guest. How very charming of you, Margery,” His smile flashed once more as he moved closer on the bed, urging her to turn in to him. His gaze dipped deep into her bodice. “Tell me,” he purred, “how exactly do you plan to … accommodate me?”

She heard herself gasp. “I … I don't know …”

The pirate captain tutted. “Surely, you must have some idea, pet, some … offering of sweetness for them, perhaps.” Her gown was edged in white lace, wreathed in innocence, and he traced that line with a single finger, moving with exquisite slowness from shoulder to shoulder. When her breathing came heavier, the smallest sound of pleasure leaving her mouth, he smiled, lifting his gaze back to hers. “Yes, quite generous indeed,” he murmured again, before leaning in to claim her.
