Mike’s yearly visits to his father’s house in the hot and humid Southeastern United States are anything but ordinary.  Since the divorce, the older man has had a new girlfriend every year, with each new woman younger than the previous.  This year is no different, with the exception that the new girlfriend is just a few years older than Mike.  She is beautiful, sexy, and Mike’s usual means of manipulating his father’s girlfriends out of the old man’s life and away from his millions may not work with this woman who is every bit as manipulative as he.  Mike’s visits are much like a poker game.  The one with the better hand will be declared the winner, but this year’s game comes with an unusual prize.

Excerpt:
Mike was almost asleep when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs.  They were too heavy to be his dad’s footsteps.  They must belong to what’s her name.  Jansy, that was her name, and what kind of name was Jansy, anyway?  He heard her steps slowing as she neared the door to his room.  What could she want with me?  She stood in the doorway in her short sheer negligee and every pore of her body literally oozing sexuality.  Mike was accustomed to seeing women in skimpy lingerie in the dorm, but it was creepy when the woman in the lingerie was sleeping with his old man.

“Can I come in?”

“Sure.”  It would be rude to say no to Dad’s girlfriend.

******

“Wish I had more time off, but I have a full day ahead of me.  Hey, I know.  You can help Jansy.  She is one of the South’s best photographers.”

“How about it, Mike?  Ever thought about modeling?”

Mike tried to hide behind his cup of coffee.  “Sure, I could do some test shots.”

“That’s my boy.  I have to run now.”  The old man kissed Jansy as if he really cared about her.  It was a long passionate kiss, and Mike felt the guilt crawling up his spine.

Jansy didn’t look at Mike until she heard the garage door open and her lover’s car being driven away.  Leaning on the table, she looked Mike directly in the eyes.  “You ready for me today?”  She spoke slowly and seductively, and Mike felt the old familiar stirrings again.
