The Prude is a series of short stories about Martha. Martha is a girl of Middle eastern descent. Her father had betrayed Saddam during the first Gulf war and their family had been granted asylum. They assumed American names and lived in a remote town.
Martha was raised at home in the traditional tribal way . When she grew up, she went to a woman's college nearby, but was still under the control of her parents. Then an accident happens, killing her parents and she is all alone. She starts to pick up the pieces and rather swiftly learns about lust, love and wild , passionate sex.
