The chase after the drug lord Osnoir in Jacksonville, Florida, ends badly; another two corpses to the list.
Someone in a trawler decides this list is far from finished, and shots Talya's launch while leaving the river.
They get rid of the shooter knowing now of being chased closely.
With agent Gilford injured and Dr Hendrix, Talya tries to hide her tracks; she's not safe in USA anymore.
She can't trust the FBI, for many reason.
The hitchhiker she meets on her way to Canada is asking too many questions, prince Khalid is gone and doesn't answer any phone call, she doubts about helping CIA to get Slimane, nothing seems right anymore, there is no one to be certain of any longer. She is not even sure Slimane is a real person anymore!

Talya has too many questions still unanswered, she hopes to find the truth at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris.
The Puppeteer is playing hide and seek, and he's going to show himself in person just for the sake of the game. There are some CIA reports about the arm trafficking between USA and Israel upon which CSIS is founding its investigations; those sheets will prove to be forged, but it may be too late, the first domino has already fallen, and there's no way to stop the others.
