"The Red Moon is an alluring examination of a woman reevaluating her life and the choices she made with the people in it."

- Maya Fleischmann of Foreword Clarion Review.

"First time novelist Roberti brings a tinge of Henry James' Washington Square to this saga of a plain woman perhaps at her breaking point."

- Kirkus Reviews.

"... a psychological drama that delves deeply into the characters' driving human natures... As a look at human behavior, the novel provides a thought provoking read..."

- BlueInk Review.

The Red Moon is the story of how a woman's open and genuine heart suffers the consequences of deceit and betrayal when, after the murder of her husband, she is stripped of her dreams, hopes and the absolute object of her love.

The story chronicles the happy lives of Dr. John Althauss and his wife Jane; how they met, courted and ultimately married, for they decided that they were the perfect choice for each other.
But were they really happy?

The story also introduces us to Mary Ellen, the beautiful, extremely self-centered and high society image driven woman, who was both a friend of Jane and a lover of John Althauss while they were in college together. After a long absence, Mary Ellen re-enters their lives and finds John not only attractive, but a successful and famous physician. To what extent will Mary Ellen's presence challenge the integrity of the Althausses' marriage? Finally, this story acquaints us with the two detectives assigned to investigate the bizarre murder of Dr. John Althauss. What was the motive? Who did it?

It is the true nature of mystery that will bear itself out as this story unfolds, for things are seldom what they seem, and what is seemingly obvious may not necessarily be clear.
