The Rising surrounds a group of survivors who are determined to find a cure for the government-induced zombie apocalypse. In this pilot, Jacob Wright, the protagonist of The Rising, attempts to find his group after a failed six month search for a cure, whilst also trying to survive against a terrifying group of people known as the 'Hearttakers'.
