English fashion photographer, Gilly Sinclair, forged a new life for herself in the three years since her disgraced husband, Special Forces Captain Samuel McKenna's trial for treason.  Abducted from one of New York’s most prestigious fashion events and interrogated by the CIA it becomes clear she is not who she claims to be.   And exactly what is the significance of the letter found secreted amongst her possessions?  The scrawled handwriting barely legible it seems it has been sent from her husband.  But he is long since dead.  So who forged this note and for what reasons?  And who is it in league with one of South America’s notorious criminals, setting up terrorists training camps and planning large scale massacres from the hidden depths of the Amazonian Jungle?

The CIA want her to find out.  Now she must go there to prove the note is a forgery.  And to put some foolhardy notion her husband is somehow still alive behind her and move on with her life.  She is in  danger.  There is no one to trust.   She cannot even trust herself.  So why is the one person offering protection, safety and a way out of her predicament the one person she should be running from?
