ALL GREAT THINGS ARE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH ADVERSITY. Twenty-four year old Luke is a ski instructor raised by his grandfather who instills in him the value of moral character. Trying to find his place in the world he feels called to do something more meaningful with his life. When Lukes car is hit by an SUV, he has a near-death experience. Shortly thereafter his grandfather passes on. As he struggles with his loss, his uncle enlists his help on a film project that will document the soldiers who have fallen in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. While filming at Arlington National Cemetery, Luke is deeply affected by the grieving families and the devastating loss of life. As a result he feels inwardly compelled to visit the gravesite of the 35th U.S. President, John F. Kennedy. There he solemnly vows in front of the eternal flame to take on the mantle of leadership and bring the truth to light for the American people who are being deceived and misled by the news media, even if it means his own demise. Realizing that there is no turning back, Luke commits to the quest to discover his destiny, and in the process is taken under the auspices of an invisible hierarchy of Ascended Masters responsible for guiding the United States. As the pieces of the puzzle begin to fall into place, Luke falls in love with a beautiful woman, Jane, a writer whose fame represents a seemingly unsurpassable obstacle. Through it all Luke has to learn to confront his fears and develop the necessary trust that no matter how implausible the circumstances appear, nothing is impossible when you follow your heart.
