The Still Small Voice of the LORD is a door opened to them that seek the right path to holiness. The man that puts his trust and obeys the Lord will dwell safely on the land. “In all your ways acknowledge me and I will direct your paths,” (Prov. 3:6). Why should a faithful saint bring his plan to God? It is because “Happy is the man that finds wisdom and gets understanding. For the merchandize of it, is better than the merchandize of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold,” (Prov. 3:14-15).
Obedience to the will of God is an enduring life forever. Enoch, the father of Methuselah the oldest man to live on earth, did not die because he walked with God, (Gen. 5:24). Walking with God is hearing and obeying His voice. A person who walks in the ways of God Almighty will never suffer want in eternity; for the love of God towards him endures forever. In the vein, Elijah walked with God and was translated, he did not see death, and God took him by whirlwind.
