In this philosophical parable, a young man copes with death by discovering himself along the shores of a spiritual passageway. As he reminisces about his past, he is faced with incorporeal beings that have the power to either guide or corrupt him.
"The Stones" was written when the author was fourteen years old. The ebook version has been modified and improved. The fable was first published in 2009 in "A Caledon Collection"—a print collection of 11 fictional short stories, which were chosen from 42 submissions. All the authors with written works in the compilation have their own special connection to Caledon, Ontario, Canada. The organization and implementation of the collection was made possible by David Field of Giant Beaver Publications and Donna and Paul Forster of Forster's Book Garden in Bolton, Ontario, Canada.
